Do you have any idea how these are likely to stand up to the heat of the lamp over time? Or is this a fairly new thing for you? They certainly look very impressive. That would be my main concern though. Don't get me wrong, that's my concern in general with anything that isn't screen printed, not yours specifically.

They should have no problem with the heat of the lamp, as the marquee is in between two pieces of perspex, the stock they are on is able to withstand the heat over time also.

My maximus arcade marquee has been in the cab for about 1 year now, with no fade or dis colour.

I decided on using this option/stock as we have used it in other applications where light has been projected through it.

Thank you to Unit504 my Klax Marquee arrived, looks ace in the cab, just need to get some perspex to put either side of it, I have some NOS side art to go with it I plan to put on the cab, then I am going to have to think about the Bezel and CP

thought it was about time i had an update to this thread as I've been looking into different routes, stocks and production methods to keep costs to a reasonable level without cutting quality.

The material the are on is a Glossy film based product designed for point of sale back lit displays.

I have yet to finalise costs per unit but, here are the photos of the current stage i am at.

Mate it's looking really good. So now you have your product finalised is there a new list of marquees you are selling?

Hmm, I think I may have the Robotron Marquee from the previous page - got it from Rav in trade for a bezel over Xmas. The problem with it is that because it's printed on card (well, presumably thats why anyway) when the light it behind it, there is light bleed through the black and it makes it look, well, like a card print.

Wondering if this film might be a bit more resilient to the light bleed than a straight card print? I've also just got to thinking that maybe masking off the back off the black areas with an additional layer of black may work. Or something along those lines.

I should probably note that at the moment, it's just the card behind a clear glass marquee. No additional layer of perspex or anything.

very close to having a final product!! Just a few small things i want to sort before its full steam ahead.

List wise there is no list really as it is more a custom service as each marquee would be a different size to the next.

I do have a few marquee on file, and can 99% of the time create files from customers supplied files.

If you can get a photo up of the marquee would be good, straight off the top tho, i would say that the black is not heavy enough and is allowing the back light to slightly come through making the black to look lighter.

Or the marquee bulb maybe to bright..?

Will be testing the new film based marquees tonight, will post up photos also.

I've not really gone too far yet as I'm still waiting for my control panel to come back from being welded up and also the metal PCB mounting plate.

Once I have those I'll be looking at getting some glass / perspex cut for the bezel and then I'll be back into the marquee territory again too.

Yup its one of mine, just had a quick scan through my archives.

Lighting is a tough one as you know every machine has a different light bulb wattage, size, coating, etc..

I will post up the light settings from the test machine, as this will help out too.

no worries, the new dual layered film based ones are a lot better!!!

The photos do not do the repro and justice.

The single layer film marquees are good and the dual layered ones work very well.

Once I've the pricing sorted i will be getting a few samples out.

How do these compare with that one? I could still do with another repro I could backlight when you get sorted.
