Hi,

Im looking to make a CP loom for R-Type and need some info on it. Was wondering if anyone on here had an R-Type CP where they could take a few pictures underneath of the wiring? and a close up of the plug and pins with wires going in?

Or any other information that might help.

Would be very much appreciated. :)

R-Type is just a standard control panel with stick and buttons, so there's no specific wiring (it's standard JAMMA). You can multimeter test from the JAMMA edge pins on the PCB for each joystick direction and button to find out which connector pin nearer the control panel corresponds to which input.

Are you wiring this all up from scratch with a brand new loom? If so you should be able to simply connect the right wires to your buttons etc.. and you'll be away.
If not and you're rewiring yourself, you'll need a cheap multimeter and a basic soldering iron set as the barebones first step on your arcading ladder!
