Didnt take long to run into my first problem …

Top Naomi in the 2 Naomi stack
I have red & geen led power lights on.
Bottom Naomi only geeen is on.
Also only one of the 2 case fan spins only ,
Swappen fan power leads around and just one feed has power.

Só I swapped in another Naomi motherboard and diffrent case and filter pcb same issue ..

Só maybe I need to try tweaking power up a little ?

Had weeta bix ( aldi knock off ) weet bix

Fixed …
Swapped top board with bottom board to rule out good or bad boards … as faulty board was always bottom board …
This time top is bad!
So a bad board !!🧐

Symptom not booting
cpu fan no spin !
No red led .
F355 repair

Replaced fan ….
Fix…

Now to future prof
Cap psu
New fans and look at super cap .

Been a while since I dabbled with Naomi, but recall there's faults that stop the fan working, but the fan itself is fine.
Too much gunk…
Dust in the lubricant.
Motor just fails.

Or dead cpu

I swapped with one of my other fans and now boots Só
Probably just a burned out fan.
3rd wire on fan is a sence wire
Naomi monitors the rpm of the fan … too slow and no boot
No spin no boot ..
Safty feature - and a great one otherwise all these Naomi’s would have cooked CPU’s
Thanks sega

Real weeta bix I don’t know if I can afford that …
Maybe Christmas time I will have some ..

I have a f355 modual that allows for a Seb / aganyte Multi ffb pcb

To interface between pc and
F355 cab ( or al least all the wiring and boards and dash )

Which I have.. but I wanted first to run the f355 stack to verify all my motor driver PCB’s and I/o. Steering and ffb are all working Correctly before swapping the pc in.

Hence getting this stack to work is just another step towards me having my twin multi ffb sega driving cab.

I have a touring car cab ..
And 2x full f355 set ups ( guts only all working )

Só plan is to sap touring car dash to f355 and all inards then pc with multi ffb pcb ..

That’s the plan anyways …
Time frame to do this errrrrrrrrrr. Let’s not rush
