Hi Jay
The cheapo ones on Fleabay for under £20 are OK.

I have used them in the past and the Video quality in daylight is great TBH, the audio is fair..

Can anyone recommend a good dash cam that won't cost me the earth?

Thanks

I've got one for the BM Jay.

Here's the link for it and a clip from the cam. Had it for 3 months now. Faultless and exceptional value.

This has the GPS base that the cam plugs into. That logs your position, speed (if you decide to display it) and you could check journeys etc on Google maps. I hard wired mine in, so not to have the wires from the 12v outlet, but it comes with the plug anyhow. Mine's virtually invisible, as its behind the passenger blind and rear view mirror with the wires tucked behind the trim.

Don't forget, these images are not as sharp as the original due to the transfer limitations to Youtube.
