So much nostalgia!!!

I've been playing doom and some others recently just for the music on the sound canvas I got from Tyke :)

Finally 99% done! Had fun with Doom and Heretic, ran slow as crap and would not output Midi audio but Duke Nukem 3D was fine. Finally worked out I had the Roland Midi out Jack connected to the Soundblaster Midi in. Well there was 2 Jacks on the SB Cable and thought both had to be connected!

The 7th Guest also sounds awesome

They were our standard desktop at work when i used to do server support.

Unless I have my dates wrong I think those were the sods we had to put a floppy disk in and run a bat files to help get them ready for the year 2000 date change.

I loved around that time as I was overpaid in IT with little but rent and beer to pay for !

Now I have sh*t loads to pay for, and feel sorry the sods who join IT on sh*t wages.

I think I was on about 18K but unlimited overtime in year 2000, I would guess helpdesk IT people get about that now, and probably work bloody hard for it.

Yeah they were cracking machines back then! I lost count how man of these we rolled out at BT. Wish I had kept some of the hundreds of Boxes and Manuals we chucked!

The Compaq is having a new drive installed, I've had these 120MB Disks lying about for as long as the machine, I wonder whats on them

Since pulling the Compaq from the Loft, it's bugged me I never kept one of the LS120 Drives so I managed to get one for £20 delivered. They are IDE and Servo driven so also reads 1.44MB Floppies quicker!
