Has anyone done a input lag test on these? The pi with pi2jamma is really bad (adds 7 frames of input lag) but I don't know if that is just the pi in general or the pi2jamma.

I can only go on how it feels, I have a Mister aswell and notice very little if any difference at all.

Sorry we are not talking about pcbs, we are talking about Mame roms on RGB-Pi So it's about finding the happy medium.
You say you have mister & rgb - pi
And you don’t feel much difference.
I’m interested to know how the two compare .. could you give a bit more detail on how they compare on terms of video quality & lag ? Cheers

I have rgb-pi & raspberry jamma arpicade . will no doubt end up with a mister set up and just wondered in terms of improvement what to expect?

I actually had a strange experience with r type leo …. Not sure if my pcb doesn’t like my cab .. but I found the rgb pi gave an overall better video out
Than the pcb.

I use the Mister under my TV as I like to use the Computer cores I use the Arcade cores with a 8bitdo stick and it's great. I use the RGB-pi in my Jamma Cab. I really don't notice any difference In lag between the 2 using this setup. I just dont think the price difference between using a Mister with Mistercade and RPi wit RGB-pi is justified In terms of performance. Of course if money is no object then the Mister would be the preferred option due to FPGA.

Yeh I have heard people saying you can really tell the difference ..
But you seem to be saying it’s not noticeably .. it’s proberbly more noticeable with your favourite games you play more often

Anybody knows his way around this thing? I just got one and I don't like it so far...
How can I remove Kodi? (media player for arcade cabs?)
How can I set it to boot to the game list?
How can I hide the vertical games when in horizontal mode? They start vertical in horizontal mode and scaled down... Who plays them like this on an arcade monitor?
I can't install any new themes... There is no home/pi/RGB-Pi/images/skins/ directory... so I created it an put all the skins in there as per RGB-Pi wiki but they won't show up on the system.

super pang won't start, just stays at a black screen and so is the New Zeeland Story. The roms are good.

**Update: I figured it out with the themes for OS/4. the folder is /opt/rgbpi/ui/themes/ now all of them show up, when I select one the system just crashes. Great.

Does this do native 15K via the hardware or do you set the O/S to 15K

I have a 15K Vertical image that works on my pi3b with a J-pac to a 15K monitor

Anyone is welcome to the image just PM me.

I was wondering if I could use say a coinops image on the pi and if this would sort out the 15K ?

I have no ideea. This thing uses the VGA666 DAC for video.

All I did was fallow the steps on the rgb-pi website. I have raspberry pi 4 with 2gb ram and latest os/4 image.

This thing is good to play pac-man or as an cab tester.

I flashed another SD for an Pi3 and everything sort of works (with an Pi3).. no more kodi!
I wonder who came up with the ideea that it would be great to have an 480i media player in your arcade cabinet.

Maybe for music or jukebox but see little reason in a cabinet like you say !! I did have a triple boot build for my lounge. Used to boot into kodi but you could sticky retropi or a os
