He was awesome. Saw him do an aftershow in London 2007. He played till 3-30am! Amazing.
Pure talent
Remember seeing Prince at the First Direct Arena in 2014,a fantastic show and we'll worth the £85 ticket .....
Also a very underrated guitar player imo,a fantastic played but not really mentioned in any lists of great guitar players

I loved his work and purple rain was the film I watched so many times when I was at school.

So gutting, he was a legend. Saw him at the O2 in 2007 (one of the main 21 evening shows) loved it so much we managed to get tickets to the final nights aftershow gig at the indigo2, he played til nearly 4am and had so many guests come on, even Amy Winehouse sang the first song with him, all for a bargain £31.21 a ticket. I remember in the morning, people were offering £750-£1000 for a ticket, but there was no way we were going to miss it. I am amazed he and the band could play a close to 3 hour set, have a break, then go and do an aftershow for 4 hours, must have been all that clean living.
