The internet is just fraud, adverts, scams, viruses and so on. only use it for basic stuff like here, ebay. Can't be bothered to go on much to have Google adverts popping up all over the page, stupid privacy crap coming up as soon as you go on a site.

Do a google search for something these days, you don't find stuff you want, just brings up all your own tracked stuff, waste of time

Just use chrome with the appropriate ad blockers and you'll never see another ad again.

AdBlock is a must, but seems more and more sites insist on it being disabled to view any info on the site. I'd forgotten YouTube has adverts, until I viewed it on my Switch, recently.

Frankly, I'm amazed Google hasn't killed off AdBlock in Chrome, given that they make most of their money from advertising, I assume. Then again, I supposed a lot of people would then move to using a browser that had ad blocking.

Well, I'm now using Win10 Pro and a bit stunned at how smoothly the upgrade went, TBH.

I thought I'd have to manually install drivers and apps, as well as spend hours installing Windows Updates, but it all seems to be working without me doing anything. All my files seem to have survived fine, too.

Only thing is, I just used Microsoft Security Essentials on Win7 for antivirus, but it's not compatible with Win10. I got sick of bloaty, resource hogging, naggy, annoying antivirus software years ago, which is why I just stuck with MSE. What are you guys using for antivus on Win10?

Well done. MSE sort of evolved into Windows defender so your basically covered already.

No real need for anything else unless your going to dodgy sites.. otherwise I'd grab a free copy of Sophos but be warned it's a bit brutal and flags up any less legitimate software and can ruin your day.
