Here's a thought...

Screen burn on vector monitors is rife, because the 'ATARI 1979' or top line of scores/status etc is always on screen.

Could one of you lot of clever buggers remove the scores and copyright signatures while the game is in attract mode? Surely this would save phospor for the years to come?

Good idea. Neil is probably the guy to do this. You could also probably flash them or move them around.

I'd have to check to be sure but I think the online high score kit by Joachim Hippel lets you choose to turn off the (C) text and also adds an attract mode.

Great idea reallly. Even randomising the vertical position a little might help in-game burn.
But yep, no need for the score etc in attract mode.
