Trying to make a analog loom
Really hope this makes sense as it’s confusing me trying to write it!

Got the analog sticks with the original 4 way amp up connector terminal.

I have just wired it to the pins with arduino jumpers just to test . - Sus it out - I get up and down
But that’s it.. in the test mode in monkey ball.

I have been reading and I found that it also needs calibrating After this test page.

But I can go to jvs test mode screen
But I cannot go to the next node?

Yes It says next node?

So is this NEXT NODE the area where you calibrate the sticks?
And can I not go there because I have not yet wired my connectons in the right order and. Nor have I wired it completely as confused as to what the vcc is?

Confused as 6 wires from the stick

But looks like I need 8 connections..
Acc. Is I think volts +5? But Where do I need to jumper this from?

First Pic above best I have managed is the three wires connected I get up and down in test mode..
But can’t get the left and right..

And I think this is why I cannot access the calibration screen?

Any Help most appreciated

There is no calibration in JVS test mode, and next node part refers to the next JVS I/O as they can be daisy chained together, so if only 1 JVS I/O is connected there is no next node.

You can get 5v from one of the pins on that black connector, you will need to find a pinout, or you may be able to find one by probing with a multimeter just be careful not to bridge pins.

If theres 6 wires from the stick they will usually be 5v, gnd and signal for the 2 pots for up/down and left/right axis.

CN6 is the analogue connection, vcc is the 5v output.

Ok found the calibration test in game test mode..
Thanks fantazia..
I think it’s sinking in now
So I need to take 5v from pinout to each potentiometer That explains it..
As well as ground and signal wire...

Cool I get it now...

That’s why there’s 6. 2x 5v to the Two pots. 1-5v For varied volts across the points on the pots..
2x grounds to the 2 pots
2x signal

Simple..
shouldn’t be to difficult to do this tomo

Thanks for the help Will hopefully
update with my pics
Now the naomi 2 just started playing up
Bad ic16
Monkey ball no longer loading freezing before title screen
So looks like my first smc change has arrived...

pic i’m not sure if it’s correct
this is just my assumption. and it is where i will start my
connections to test it.
i will correct it as soon as i confirm
but a dummy guid like this is what i would have liked to find on internet.
