So i think Im near enough complete with this. I need to speed to people about how id get the rear reflecting points onto any repros because without it, theyd not light up the marquee as well. The originals are either laser’d or silk screened on so Id have to see what options are open.

I got the rear paper drawn up so it should be just the dots and I can look at what making them might be.

I mean, you could always go crazy and make an 'alternate' edition of this.

One which eschews the light in the cabinet altogether, has a dispersion layer on the back, and an array of LEDs lighting up behind that. Something like that would be better than original, IMO ... but I am just thinking aloud
🤷‍♂️

It actually would be more effort to do that and also not look necessarily as good. For light to diffuse well you need depth so youd need to make a box with diffusion layers and then it wouldnt necessarily work with most cabinets.

Honestly what Sega designed here is incredibly well thought out and efficient

When will they be avalible ?
Not so much when but if at this point. Prices would be very much subject to how many people would want one and process used to make it. I wouldn't expect it to be less than £100 per piece, but I'd expect more the £150 range. And I'd want to do a sample run first naturally before comitting anyone
