Still; an ideal time for Alpha1 to put out feelers for the next raid (assuming the OP has a sense of humour about timing)

Shocking stuff, im southend born and bred and lived there for 20 years and never saw anything even close to this :(. I hope the damage isnt too bad for the arcades there. Most of the arcades of my youth in southend are now carbon copy clones with modern driving and shooting games, pushers and fruitys that i dont care about. But they are still "arcades" and i'd hate to think of them closing, or indeed a day when no public arcades are in operation.

Apparently only the front half of the arcade is flooded (fruities n sh*t) but track n field etc was at the back
Hopefully he can get all his money back
Sad to see this!

I was in southend yesterday, part of the reason was what Owain said, but tbh the arcade in this pick was open and the only signs that this flood ever happened was about 6 ft of carpet was removed and thats it! I thought it would have been a lot worse so looks like they got away with it :)

That picture looked really bad news for that arcade, I hope they did get away lighter than feared. All this freak weather that seems to come about is a bit worrying, there was some flooding near me a few years ago because the drains couldn't cope with all the rain we had, a few sandbags may be a wise investment.
