TECH: TMNT f22 bad

[ukvac] TECH: TMNT f22 bad

My Teenage MNT board is showing a RAM error on startup ( F22 BAD ). If I look at location F22, there is a MCM2018AN45(HIQAR8908) chip.

Should I trust the error message and replace this chip ?

If yes, can anybody tell me where I can get one ?

nope, so tell me what 8943 would mean?

the 08 is the week number, so it was made in february 1989

Using what little knowledge I have.... MCM = Motorola, 2018 is the chip
number and the AN45.... Not entirely sure... That's generally stuff like
the output accuracy/temperature range/package type/number of pins.....

The HIQAR.... Dunno, but the 8908 means the chip was made in August (08)
1989.

I've just found one on: http://www.multigame.com/PARTS.HTM but its
probably better to try and find one in the UK first....

Heyyyy!!!! I found one!!!

Has a MCM2018N45 AND a MCM2018AN35 listed as of yesterdays stock!!!
Perhaps now if someone can confirm either of these are suitable (or indeed
email the company) then Bob's your distant relative!! Or so they say!
