Yeah... i cleaned out the coin mech... couldnt find any stuck skins.

The game plays fine.. but the Gorilla is obviously in the wrong place, &
upside down.

Re: [ukvac] Tech W: an Ozzie DK/Ck
well, the large sprite (gorilla) is stored in the two 2101 ram chips - so
are they OK?

but I suspect that there is some circuitry to invert the gorilla to go with
the cocktail version - you need to track this down, as it sounds like one of
the lines is stuck high (if this is the case, then it would be in the
correct location for player 2 in cocktail mode!)

Re: [ukvac] Tech W: an Ozzie DK/Ck
Cheers for the info,

even in cocktail mode, the gorilla is in the wrong place & upside down. This
happens on both 1 or 2 player (flipped).

All the actual graphics are fine thruout the game. ive already done a rom
swap, so im postitive they are fine.

any more ideas ?

Re: [ukvac] Tech W: an Ozzie DK/Ck
I'd still suspect the circuitry that handles the flip, sounds like something
is NOTing the signal when it shouldn't be - I don;t know if there any
schematics available for crazy kongs, because it may not be easy tracking
down the exact chip / pins to check without one. (my one only had problems
with the 2101 ram chips, so was somewhat easier to fix!)

There are VERY poor quality schematics available on spies (I think - use
my search engine if not, it'll tell you where they are).

They cover both the single board versions and the double board versions,
just marking different board references where relevent.
