I was an Atari 8-bit user back in the day, I think I had around 4,000 games on disk, the US doubler on the drive was pretty handy. Anyone remember Les Ellingham and Page6 magazine?? How about Antic?
I did used to code and write games on the Atari back then, its how I learnt to program and it forged my career.
That Space Harrier port is amazing considering the limitations of the machine.
The Atari was pretty neat in that you could mix different graphic modes and achieve all kind of results. The only gripe I had was that the Player/Missile graphics sprites had there limitations compared to other sprite capability of machines such as the C64.
