I did the same, it took a few weeks and I still don't have the topper but it was definitely worth it. Hand sprayed it yellow and it's holding up well and looks good. I should do a "restorations" thread on it maybe haha.

Thanks for the wider comments, I'm really pleased with it its quite neat and tidy. Will be posting for some help soon on wood repair to the top rear panel, the captive nuts holding the curved trim piece in place have been ripped out of the particle board........

Oh definitely. I'll grab a SmartyPi as soon as any are available. But the motion won't work with those yet, so I'd rather get the board running for now until then.
