So, one of my machines has no power getting to the PSU, just replace the PSU or is there anything i should troubleshoot first, no lights coming on at all

2nd issue is...i have replacement joysticks but they are all fitted with this kind of connecter soldered on, is there an adapter i need or do i need to just remove the wires and hook the connections up?

You should take the time to read the manual initially.
To measure AC i.e. the voltage coming from the plug or DC i.e the voltage going the harness you will need to follow this bit of the manual.

For DC you can put the black probe on ground and the red probe on 12v -12v -5v +5v etc and see if you get anything.

For AC you can measure the L/N to see if you get the voltage expected.
If you get the AC voltage but no DC then replace the switching power supply.
If you have no AC voltage then you need to check the cabling and fuse in the plug!
If you have both AC and DC everything is fine with your power supply (assuming the voltages look okay).

Have you checked the fuse in the plug and if there's an interlock which is a switch that turns the power off if the back cover is removed for safety.

On the stick issue, if you are intending on using the top pictured joystick and need to connect it to a 5 pin Sanwa style connector, Arcade Parts have a Crown Conversion Harness for this very purpose.

If I have misread and you want to replace the whole stick with a Sanwa stick, you will need a mounting plate to convert the rectangular shape of the Sanwa to the square arrangement of the mounting pegs on the control panel (at least that is what it looks like). I think they are quite hard to come by.

thats all good, the holds on the sanwa plate all align fine, seem to have holes in for every setup these days

The issue in regards to hooking the stick up to the jamma loom, is that the wiring is pre soldered onto the connections which all just go to this

Would it just be a case of my desoldering tyhese and using the wires coming from the loom?

Yes that should work, one signal wire and one ground wire per corner. I jave this exact loom wired up to a Lorenzo stick. The end wire is UP and you just wire it round with a ground wire on each.

If the microwitches are labelled, COM is where your ground (black) wire goes, NO is where the Signal (colour) wire goes.
