Hi

I've been given a 32" LCD TV which was going to be for my son but when you switch it on, the Screen goes blank after about a minute, although sound is still fine.

I searched online and found that the most likely porblem is the power supply pcb so I bought a used (supposed working) one from ebay and replaced the one in there. BUT it's no different, still goes blank after a minute.

So wondering if anyone with experience of repairing monitors/TVs can advise if there is anything else that is likely to be causing this or if is's most likely that the replacement power supply is also faulty?

Waiting to hear back with the same question from the seller on ebay to see what they say but be helpful if anyone here had any defnitive thoughts please?

Thanks

Greg

What make/Model is it Greg

From my experience It can be Psu, Backlight board or main board and it annoys me when people post it will be the backlight board or the PSU when it can be any

Also depends how new it is, if it's LED or old Flu Tubes for backlight

It's a Samsung LE32R74BD. Believe it's LCD.

If it's possible there's the cause is elsewhere I might just bin and buy a new one rarther than throw more money after bad in trying other replacement parts.
