The punchline is the second auction. This is a Super Sprint auction which ended a week or so ago, it was cancelled of course - if I recall it was in the 300 and under price range at the time.

And as if by magic someone in Castleford suddenly has one for sale (guess who!)

Aside from the price, which is hilarious and amazing in equal measures, I particularly like the pack of lies that goes with it:

"Am sure this will be the only one I get in for sale in my life time! With regret this arcade is for sale. I wish I could keep it but I cant"

Let me fix that for you champ! "I saw this on ebay last week and bought it for a few hundred quid, I'm really looking forward to trying to reel in a chump at my drug fuelled new price. I wish I could find more to resell but I cant".

This is small beer compared to what some pinball 'dealers' are up to ebay. If you don't fancy gold as an investment right now and you've no faith in our fiat money, buy a pin!

When i won my Gauntlet on ebay it turns out i outbid Castlefords finest arcade dealers

The sent me a message saying the seller was bidding on their own auction.. looks like they will try any trick in the book

I played this machine a few weeks ago when it was first listed. I know the guy who sold it.

Notice the tiny red switches on the coin-mechs used to coin it.

It is the same machine.
