Seems like quite few people prefer the email option, I get pinball group emails by the dozen. Those guys seem to get on and give advice without getting in to flame wars!
Maybe its just the age of arcade collectors that makes them more likely to look for the negative. It is annoying when people ask questions that can be found on google but maybe they just want an opinion as well as an answer.
Arcade collecting for me is getting an old game or PCB working after being left for dead, once they are playable I rarely play them, except for star wars and eliminator.
The meet thing is a good idea but I rarely have a day off and when I do I have a 100 other things I need/want to do, maybe post an arcade related quiz and the member with the highest score fault gets a free game PCB or parts, to get people involved.
How about free Friday like the US group where people give unwanted bits away with the condition they don't turn up on ebay, I'd be up for that if it would help someone get a game working again.
Any ideas?

(although since I moved to the US, I don't have the collection I once had
back in blighty...)
