Very nice! Did you perform the buzz mod too?

How did you make the slot the carts go in? Just curious how you made the cart extension cable.

No, I don't mind the buzzing. That said, it is somewhat deadened by the lid of the machine, as it just uses the normal Vectrex built-in speaker.

Its just ribbon cable with a male edge connector on one end and a female connector on the other. I cut 'handle' holes in each side of the cabinet, and the right hand one doubles as the cart slot. The edge connector is just mounted behind the hole in the side of the cabinet.

One problem I have with this is that for some reason a multicart (VecFlash) I have does not like the extension cable. It puts all sorts of junk on the screen on startup and then loads up a certain game (always the same one). I guess there is some sort of signal loss due to the extension cable. It's as short as I could get away with (20cm). Maybe shielded cable would work better...I should try and work out a solution...
