Started looking into the possibility of having multiple Vectrex Bios installed at the same time. Seems like a 'fastboot' bios is a good option for game development. I'll be experimenting with custom BIOS too very soon. Will probably develop a mod but it'll need someone skilled to socket the bios for it:

I can tell you it is... but you either need the assembly code or the original game to be properly disassembled. It's all about memory location differences. I have added my own game successfully instead of Minestorm. I'm looking at either getting other classic Vectrex games disassembled or at having someone else give me a game to put in its place. I will also be looking at making a proper Debug ROM or at disassembling the 'Test Cart 4' ROM. It's going to be an interesting journey.

The MB version of the BIOS already has Minestorm fixed; it's just the GCE version that has the bug.

Thanks for the feedback! Do you know the CRC of the MB version?

I have to check when I repaired my vectrex if I burnt the right image ;D

Btw, it would be great to have a sort of custom bios with other games yes

Cool stuff. I can't imagine anyone wanting to replace the mighty Mine Storm as far as games go, but having the test cart built-in is a good idea.

Well, with a Multi-bios you can have Minestorm and other games built-in and changed between at a flick of a switch.

I've built 3 custom BIOS now for different people all with new start-up messages and music. I've even overridden the copyright on every cart. I will of course demo them at some point... but waiting for the new owners to post first on their respective sites.
