[ukvac] Wales meet

Hello all,

I know it appears as if I have dropped off the face of the earth, but unfortunately I have had serious back problems which has meant most of my life at the moment is spent lying flat on my back!!!

I am going into hospital tomorrow for an MRI scan to determine what is the problem as I am not really able to function at all(not in the biblical sense!!!) and maybe will need an operation to sort it out. As I have private healthcare with work I have been informed that they might keep me in and sort it out straight away.

Any way enough of the sob story!! I obviously am not fit enough at present to have the meet at the end of the month. I have been putting off publishing this email for several weeks in the hope that it would just go away and that I could get things sorted out, but alas it is not to be.

As far as I am concerned this is a postponement not a cancellation and hopefully I can get back up and running quickly and hold a meet later in the year.

I realise that people may have started to make travel arrangements and I hope people are not to put out. If you have laid out cash in advance for tickets then give me a shout and I will reimburse you ( may not answer your email for a few weeks but will not be ignoring you , will just not be able to sit at pc!!!)

If there are other people who I have got any other comittments or deals, I hope you can hang in there until I am sorted.

Sounds like a definate case of arcade fever mind - shifting too many

Hi Simon,

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. I'm pretty sure a meet where you're
flat out
on your back while we're just there to feed you grapes and generally tend to
your needs wouldn't be quite as great, so hope you're better soon
