I guess Chase HQ was of course a bit of a Miami Vice thing but a UK equivalent of say a full size Grenada or Escort RS2000 or Capri à la Sweeney or The Professionals arcade game would have been pretty cool! 😆
The arcade PCB would likely need to feature custom hardware for rendering the excessive amount of cardboard boxes drawn on screen at any one time.

Yes i agree, they could of done a lot more on the late 80s arcade.
The home computer versions of film/toy/cartoons/superhero type stuff you always knew you were gonna get ripped off and arcade versions of some of these would of been ace. They definitely got it right with Robocop arcade.

Yes, i wrote the description on those 3 titles as if they were real promotional material!, Lol.

I did find out that there was actually an arcade game called Monkey Magic! 1979 Nintendo. Was just like a Breakout clone.

Wow! That looks cool. Like a very early Cute Em Up. Just had to watch a gameplay clip. Its Universal Video Games on the title screen. Still needed something based on the Monkey Magic tv show in the late 80s arcades. 😄

Well in terms of games that were 'sort of' made but not released.... has anyone found the roms for Atari Gremlins yet?

As a random fantasy choice I can't help thinking a 'carry on at your convenience' game might be funny, or would that just be jet set willy?

Alan Partridge's Sports Day.
Compete in Alan's unique arcade game and win the key to Norfolk.
Even Alan's arcade cabinet has unique features like:
🔹️Corduroy side panels.
🔹️Extra large central joystick with two track balls either side (or as Alan calls it, "a waggle stick accompanied by a pair of useful balls!").
🔹️A padded optional pullout arm rest for the vigorous plays, and the elderly!.
🔹️Large side speakers so you can appreciate Alan's specially selected track list, from classics like "Jet", "Goldfinger" to "Wuthering Heights"

Enjoy with the family and friends, or just by yourself!, Twelve "first class" sporting events in this carefully crafted arcade heart ponder.
Will you get the high score on "Monkey Tennis", "Inner-City Sumo" or "Arm Wrestling with Chaz and Dave".

That popped in my head straight away when I saw the picture above

Was thinking about Over The Top movie which I watched for first time a while back, You had Nintendo game

Awesome stuff. Some good ideas for the arm wrestling on the 'Alan Partridge's Sports Day' machine 😂😂 I think a lot of people would play it if it was in the arcades now !.. plus there are some other sporting events on the machine not listed earlier:
🔹️Spear Fishing in the Norfolk Broads with a rather reluctant Hugh Grant.
🔹️Drag Racing (car optional) at Sandringham Estate.
🔹️Tug of War against the lovely staff at Linton Travel Tavern.
