Have you ever had ffb up and running?

Are you absolutely positive the serial connector is plugged into the correct serial port?
Nope never had these running with ffb
Actually amp seems to not work either ..
Although I don’t have the coin box with the volume knob attached ..

I’m using coms 1 connector.

Steering
Peddles
Lights all good ..

I have 110v all over where it should be ..

I haven’t measured the 24v dc psu x2

I thought you was trying to get Race TV to work?

So you are using a multi......and trying to play Outrun 2?

Why not try another racing game on the multi? Wouldn't that be the easiest of the low hanging fruit?

Yep ..
I will try initial D as that worked on his ..

That thread on AP
The guy uses an Arduino
To convert serial rs242 to midi
To use a midi servo board ..

Initial D Naomi driving cabs .

Juat to convalute maters !

Although andy geezer says try diffrent cab types as outrun2 dlx maybe midi ? As it uses motion for the car on top of the ffb .

I have converter now to :)

I couldn’t exit game options menu in initial D or rtuned ..

Test and exit buttons on the Lindbergh main unit didnt do anything ..

Só I have the vts pcb I have removed it from coin box

Now juat trying to work out how it connects to the cab ?

As im thinking I need the service & test on the vts to control the games menu.

Long story short

I don’t know where I plug the Vts pcb connectors 🧐x4

You could look at the schematics for the service and test buttons location on the I/O board.

Here, I've done it for you.

You can activate them by shorting the relevant pin to ground.

Yeh Thats a good idea

I need to do that for boost button also ..

It should be straight forward
For me to plug this vts in ..
But can’t see any connectors for it yet!

Also sound amp will not work either without vts
Digital volume pots

Mate, VTS is credit board and sound.

Get sound from the soundcard on the Lindy, use headphones or something like a portable speaker for the time being.

As long as the I/O is plugged in, just short the wires.

You just want to see if the FFB works, no need to delve any further than whats needed.

Yeh ..
I will most likely use another amp anyways

But I read on the hummer owners manual bot having Vts can cause other malfunctions ..

But I will add test and service buttons to io tomorrow.

It’s baby steps ..

I looked at wiring schematics for the rs 232. Converter

And your vídeo ..
Looks like you connected
The T+ T- R+ R- & Both groundsIMG_6435.png

IMG_6433.png

Cn1 of servo motor controller board pin 1 Gnd. And pin 3 is ground also ? SG. Is this
Sheild ground ?

But converter only has one Gnd output ?

IMG_6436.png

This is confusing me at the moment.

Do I need both grounds ?

Are you going to be playing Hummer?

I played Initial D 7 + 8 without a VTS board and didn't encounter any issues, that's was my experience anyway.

The thing with the I/O, if the wires are already populated then just see where they go and short them out further down the loom. If the service buttons were working on other games then it may be the multi, who knows at this point.

I can't remember how many grounds there was, sorry.

I have played hummer ..
It works but without ffb and anoyingly the 2 boost buttons for r tuned do not boost in hummer ..

Only really looking to play outrun & initial D really

I’m pretty sure it’s same ground line any ways ..

The vts would be nice for easy
Volume control .. for sub also ..

I actually think I have rtuned
Hdd and cf at hand I will also look for that . As I have another Lindbergh . That would
Rule out the multi being the problem or not.

Which I do seem to have populated
IMG_6459.png
Red / blue & white and purple .

trace them back it should be where VTS Plugs in and Start button goes there too on SR3
Yeh ..
Will trace or back ..thanks

I’m following penhros thread here also for pinout on the vts

I have rtuned twin hence the twin vts pcb.

I have the link box at the back that links the cabs ..

I have these sockets female jvs on rear of the two cabs
IMG_6439.jpeg

So seems I’m just missing the male to male 4 & 6 pin jvs

For the vts IMG_6438.jpeg

R tuned schimatic are ineligible ..

I was looking at hummer & inital D 4,5 …

But they are not this r tuned cab .. thet is why I was not getting a lot of sence from them ..

Looked at sega race tv last night and it is clear and compatible. Só should be ok now to make correct connections .

Ok to pick up where I left this ..

I now have made loom for the vts só I have a test and service
& sound also ..

Loading id4 I didn’t get ffb ..
I didn’t get passed the passport card required either .

IMG_6522.jpeg
This I assume is saying
Your ffb is not recognised .

IMG_6526.jpeg
I think these guys know my ffb isn’t working!

image.jpg
Spare 8 way to make my new connector .
Maybe I will have ffb then .

If not will be either motor control pcb
Or something at motor poss logic board not getting voltage ..

Side not kids got chicken pox

Instead of going school they stayed home ,
I set up paw patrol for them on my ips monitor earmarked for this cab ..

Came home from work and they had kicked the screen in!

Feral kids these days!
