Apparently those ones are likely dropship style resells... they buy a cheaper board someplace else if someone pays the money I guess, and send it to the overpaying eBay buyer? Not sure how it works. Anyone else experienced that stuff? Don't pay more than around $1200 for a Garegga board.
I'll have to keep my eyes peeled, hopefully one comes up for a good price eventually.
Also, keep in mind that the arcade version apparently has bullets that are difficult to see, but I guess that makes it more of a challenge!
A lot of people seem to say this, but it's really not that bad imo. Some other games like Carrier Air Wing or Truxton II have much worse bullet visibility in some spots.
One time though, I did get caught by a tiny silver bullet right before the final boss in Garegga, so you do need to keep your wits about you.
I think the main challenge with playing on the arcade version compared to the PS4 version would be the boss health/timers, on the PS4 you can just see these directly but on the arcade version you need to make music cues for the boss timers and be able to guess their health from experience.
I find the big green plane at the end of stage 5 much harder because of this, about half a second after you destroy it a few pieces of shrapnel fly out, and if you bomb them you get ~150K points (which is a lot).
But on the arcade version you sort of have to guess when it'll die, whilst avoiding the big spread of bullets it shoots out.
Tricky, but makes for an interesting challenge.
