I've been asked to make a number of WICO joystick shafts and this has put me in mind of a load of WICO joysticks I have managed to accumulate over the years. Probably close to 80 or more. So off I go and start rummaging around trying to figure out where I've put them. Wasn't that long ago, as I was sure I was sorting everything out in the workshop, lol.

Yup fund them, along with a load of black rubber bits lying in the bottom of the box, hmmm.

Took out the first one to hand, mad amount of rust on the shaft, ball all faded and cig burn marks, even the leaf switches are broken and in a mess. Started to take it all apart in order to give it a good clean, and see what needs sorted, then this:

Now I know where all that black rubber is coming from, ugh, and this was just the first one. Many more look to be in the same state.

Wish me luck.

So seems that I need a load of parts to get my batch of WICO joysticks cleaned up and ready to be passed onto someone new.

I'm in need of quite a number of parts, so off I go rummaging around for some nylon rod to make some nice, non-worn, joystick switch actuators. I'm also making a load of 3/8" grommets, as most of these are like the first image, or really badly cracked.

Needing some 15mm steel rod for the centre parts.
