i know you played this in AC Bury, i have been a few times and once the buttons were the wrong way round for what i was expecting

it can really throw you off, that game in particular as its muscle memory from pressing the buttons

im sure ive posted about this before
i think the left button was never the jump on all the arcades i played the game in when i was young, it just feels un-natural

Just reading this and as I'm an avid Wonderboy fan one of my favourite games,jump has always been the second button for me.
I remember one time they changed the board for something else in my local arcade can't remember what it was called and a group of us went mad asking for Wonderboy back and after a couple of weeks they put it into another cab and the buttons were the wrong way round and we ended up all playing it cross handed till someone swapped the button connectors😂

There was never really a set 100% way for them in arcade Jamma cabs
It was always a case of trying the buttons at the start
Very frustrating for other games too ,like Shinobi ..It was everywhere and trying the buttons out .magic was always the first one pressed
So you lost your bonus
You can adapt quickly to holding wither button in and jumping with other on wonderboy
But I feel your pain 🤣

I'm same as all of you, It was always hammer/run on the left and jump on the right, Can't play it any other way. I never saw a dedicated cab bitd so might feel different if i had grown up playing the official way. The place i played it the most was Greens arcade in Chapel St Leonards, That was in a Defender cab so the joystick was up/down 😂 I absolutely loved it like that as well. Screw the left & right rubbish.
