I am struggling to find a game on either PS4 or XBOX ONE that I actually want to play badly enough to upgrade.
Currently have an XBox 360 hooked to my big TV in the living room which the only games I play are SSX Blur and Guitar Hero/DJ Hero.
It seems every time I turn the console on I have to sit through a mind-bendingly boring firmware update which on my broadband takes anything up to an hour at which point i've lost interest.
Plus the sheer amount of DLC now needed.
I'm down at Carol's for xmas/new year and her son has an XBox360 with only a 20gb HDD on it, he plays Ghosts, GTA V and a few others and got Destiny for xmas - he had to lose the GTA V content as Destiny needed a long copy process of the disk to the drive followed by a long download before he could play it - the nag factor of "is it done yet, is it done yet, can I check if its done yet" while we were trying to watch the Top Gear special last night was enough for him to get banned for a day from it.
The hacking of PSN and XBL over xmas day upset a lot of kids because they couldn't play a lot of new games which demand online service to use them.
Its all over commercialised now, buy your XBox One, pay for your online subscription, buy your disk, buy your online content and then some games "require" you to buy certain content or you can't pass certain levels - we all hated iOS "freemium" games for this buy the next level for 69p bit and slag Apple off for allowing it etc but seems we're relatively ambivalent to take the hosing from M$ and Sony.
Just my 2p but these modern gen consoles just aren't inspiring me to buy them so my vote would be "nope, not worth the marketing hype" save your money and buy the next decent cab on your list.
