Xp laptop problems

Hi, just fired up the old spare laptop running xp.

I have tried to download some games on world of spectrum but the laptop is having nothing when it comes to getting on the website. Perfect wi fi stength just won’t go into websites. I can get on ukvac and abut nothing else just says needs a security certificate.

Am I wasting my time with this old beast? Haven’t used it for a year or so.
