Remember looking in the Argos catalogue when i was a kid and wanted these. Never got! 😭

Got a Dukes slot car set, the bridge jump is pretty good and have the Automan set which is just a Dukes set with different car, stickers and cardboard and lid box change, got the Knight Rider one too which is bigger set
I used to want half of what was in the Catalogues but didn't get much of it though I can't complain as we had some good toys

I had that speed jumper set
At least I think that was it
The car looked nothing like what is on the box there
There was a cool wee switch at bottom of the car that hit a small bit of plastic near the jump
It made it go super quick then
Always thought it was genius then
In fact it maybe still is

I remember late 70s when newsagents-sweet shops would have tons of matchbox cars across the counters and in racks and in the windows.
Plus all the other pocket money toys like plastic dinosaurs, rubber monsters and insects, joke & prank items, vintage comics, sweets behind the counters in large jars. Certainly was magical times.
