How to save setting changes in Splatterhouse?

Hi I turn on the pcb with dip 1 on which gets me to the settings, I change it for demo sound on, then turn off the board, then switch dip 1 off and boot, but nothing has changed?

Am I missing something obvious to save settings? Do I turn the dip switch off while the game is still powered on or something like that?

Thanks Adam.

The settings are saved into an eeprom so maybe that is faulty?
No idea where it's saved since I've never messed with one of these before but it's somewhere to start looking. Just find a rom that's electronically erasable and that's probably the one you need to look at.

Think it is accessed via a menu by powering on with Dip 1 in the 'on' position, change the required setting and then switch the dip back to 'off' with the PCB still on. If your Cab has a test switch, hold it down to access the menu like you would without switching Dip 1

Hi thanks to you both for reply's, LHantz switching the dip while powered on did the trick, I was just not sure if would be ok to do, but worked perfect.
