Jinq sea your thinking of the current arcade vga card 5000. Ive got the 3000. Do you by any chance know the ati model of the 3000 so i can source the parts from that

I didn't mean that - in fact, in the circumstances (given I was thinking of the wrong card), a dremel would be a grand idea. I love dremelling things!

@Markitanis I suggest you have a search of a well-known search engine to find out on which ATi graphics board the ArcadeVGA 3000 was based, and then have a look for the low profile brackets for that model of ATi graphics card you require.

I'm not being funny, but lots of the things you are asking would be solved by a fairly quick explore of the web. I'm all for being helpful, and have tried very hard to assist you, but my patience is starting to wear a little thin; I'd suggest that you need to start doing some searching for yourself instead of posing very open questions.

Always willing to help, but please try to find answers out for yourself before coming here with nebulous questions, perhaps.

I thought I'd got sucked in by a troll with all the questions in the mame driver recommendations thread.

Y'know those farmers that take out their tractors in rush hour to see how many people they can get in a 'snake' line? Well thats what the mame driver pc recommendation thread ended up like imo.

I rarely curse at the PC screen, but I admit a couple of curses came out recently.....so, after raising my voice and shaking my fist at the screen in bewilderment I came to the realisation that maybe Markitanis really is baffled by computer stuff, understandable as we have all been there at some point.

When my initial questions as to what was inside his PC was met with silence or ignored I flinched a little, but when I was told that in single core tests a 4th generation i3 running at 3.7ghz will outperform a 6th generation i7 running at 4.0ghz/4.2ghz turbo I gave up.

I'm not dissing you Markitanis, but many people have bent over backwards to answer your previous questions and the reward for everyones efforts is even more questions that at most times googling the exact question you are asking would answer. I don't know how old you are or what profession you do, but I really hope you can get your mame cab back up and running.

As jinq-sea has already mentioned, I also did some google-fu and the HD2600 Pro came up.

I googled: 'ati arcadevga 3000 based on?'

I always wanted to know what card was VGA3000, and thanks to good old google I now know.

FYI it's mentioned in the 3rd answer down.

Can you please post your mame questions in the UKVac mame forum?

It would make things a bit more easier for people to find answers to similar questions they have.

Sorry mate, but it doesn't!

There are many benchmarks you can use to compare a chip, I don't know what benchmarks CPU Boss use but the result is questionable tbh.

Ridge Racer and Rave Racer play perfectly on the 6700k, but the i5 3470 I've tested struggles a lot trying to play both games. I have to basically run the game at 25-30 fps on the i5 3470 to stop sound skipping.

Here's the i5 3470 vs the i3 4170 on CPU boss:

On the above benchmark it shows there's not much difference between the i3 and the i5.

I'm not belittling your chip, it's a great chip that should play most games on emulation without issues.

But in mame it'll struggle to play Rave Racer and Ridge Racer at 60fps, just use Vivanonno to play those games and you will be fine.
