Hi all,

I created an account here a few years ago but I realised I didn't post an introduction!

I have a Super Neo 29 in a horizontal setup and an Aero City in vertical. The chassis in both cabs developed faults previously, which gunblade kindly fixed.

I'm a big shmups fan, with Darius Gaiden being my favourite.

Cheers!

Welcome to the forum !
Glad you got both the cabinets up and running again. A Super Neo 29 would be my dream Candy I think, my main area of interest is currently with woody cabs tho.

Thanks! The Super Neo 29 and the Aero City are great as they have smaller dimensions compared to most candy cabs. You don't have to take them apart to fit through doorways!

Thanks all for the welcome messages!

Here's a photo of my Super Neo 29.

😍
My first cab.. what a beauty. Unfortunately, I ordered mine from an importer in Germany in 2003 and was slightly overconfident about it fitting up our spiral staircase. I can still remember the look of disbelief in my dad's eyes when he saw it sat outside the house on a pallet.

Now, in hindsight I could have taken it apart but my dad wasn't keen me messing with a large 29" CRT (quite rightly) so after living in the garage for a while I sold it to a member of Neo-Geo.com who owned a Post Office :(

I have a picture somewhere of it sat, unused with all manner of post office detritus sat on top of it :(

Anyway welcome!!

I had to wipe away a tear hearing this. And now I’m thinking of all my MVS carts that I sold for peanuts over twenty years ago 😭

Thanks all! That's disappointing with what happened with your cab, @Stokers.

I agree that when a cab arrives in a pallet outside, it's a stressful time! Getting the cab up the stairs would be a challenge, as it was difficult lifting it over two steps to the front door. I wouldn't want to have to remove the CRT for that as well. Did you manage to get another cab in the end?
