Total carnage, won't be offering my services lol, good job it was a scrap pcb. Tried solder sucker first then desolder station then was peed off so attacked it with heat gun which was probably too high but by then I was mentally unstable and considered hacksawing it out. In fact it was a case of getting it off of the pcb no matter what the damage. Even though the chip and board were buggered I experienced a brief moment of satisfaction almost euphoric I'd say then thought it was probably best not to work on my faulty pcbs until I'd at least slept. Anyway there's a free big chip going if anyone has the ability to test it haha hoho heehee.

Lol happens mate sadly , I over heated a board the other day after removing 15 odd chips with no issues.

I'm certainly no expert but if a heat gun has done that to the chip it's probably fubar'd. You never know though, Worth trying it and saying a little prayer 🤞
