Cool, love the sound of the guns.
Quite the rattle on the guns !! Need to get the game volume up and will be the complete immersive experience 😂
The build quality and finish on the cabinet is unbelievable. It must have been a costly cabinet for EC to produce and for an operator to buy back in 1989.
Interested to know any further info about the cabinet if anyone should have any ?

Here is a X-MEN in the flesh… bought mid 90s so owned 30years it retired just before me but it was upgraded to the new pound ..2018 ish .. (it got confined to storage when covid stopped us moving stuff site to site) I think it’s been hiding in that corner now for about 6-7 years and always been just 20p play! …. A good shelf for more junk!

X-MEN is made by KONAMI electrocoin was just one of several main UK distributors back then… if I recall, I bought it off Associated leisure during their streamlining take over by Rank leisure machine sales . It had been sited at the GX Super Bowl in Speke Liverpool … they had got kicked out under a new management contract? and I picked up that about 9 months old , , also got an Ace system One new rebuild ‘HangMan’ Word Quest SWP and a midi size Strata Golden Tee Golf video game and a jamma BAS ‘flying shark’ Just had to collect them from the GX bowling alley opposite the airport.

I had inside info as I was the part time AL service engineer visiting the GX and know the sales manager Ian Price who I knew from him starting at hazelgrove music in about 1979 via Assoc leisure, as they took over HGM then Stretton leisure and leisure link and he is now CEO of IQ POOL (formerly combined Gatley Snooker/Pool and sales operators Brenland Leisure)

When he was at Stretton I got loads of ex op games at £50 quid each delivered.

We then sited it at another bowling alley the Llandudno Mega Bowl on Mostyn Champneys retail park until the Bowl lease ran out in around 2014 (we had about 20 various fruits , cranes and videos and 2 pool tables in there) and TKMaxx occupied the building so it went to the Prestatyn Lido complex for a while then finally nearer home at Ellesmere Port boys club and came off site with a monitor fail . Gunblade serviced/repaired the chassis about 10 years ago) then it just ran in our own owned youth club here in Weaverham when we had space as our warehousing was in half of it… now closed down so it’s here at home! …….someone on here may have played it at those places?

No …. I can’t recall all our machines that well ! But that’s a pretty odd cab, and it’s only really been in the one main site for over 18 years of its history. And still have it! Also just a year or two back I found the sales docket to clear collection from GX site .

As the glam rock pop group Sweet sang , back in the 1970s …….
“She just wouldn’t have a clue —WHAT ! to dooo !!!”
(A lyric line from ‘Blockbuster’ for those a bit younger on here)
The sad thing is I don’t either !!! I know I am not alone on this forum of people who collect (hoard) Arcadia artifacts and when it’s your career also you want a good stock of thousands of fuses, Mars orange clips, Elaut crane cord, starpoint buttons and microswitches, joysticks, pinball coils (new& used) coin mechs of all types, self tap screws, coach bolts, price of play labels, locks, all types of bulbs… I should have just photocopied an old Shefras spares catalogue there to be quicker,

That’s just one shelf then the floor is covered with monitors and chassis , between the approx 40 assorted coin op complete items . Don’t even mention 7” ex jukebox singles they are in cash boxes and stacked feet deep on old pool cues. Then there’s the manuals and spares catalogues.

Tools galore , when you leave a place that had a workshop attached you bring out the tools obviously ….. there must be hundreds of spanner’s and screwdrivers.. even our lathe pillar drill , band saw and more power tools than some hire shops stock..

It’s a disaster zone ……… 😂😂😂 hard hats recommended as even the roof is full with stuff that can’t fit on any shelf or other flat surface…. Ref x men picture above !

Then …… away from the ‘shed’.. back in the house .. the wife has possibly saved a sample of nearly every ‘popular’ soft toy we had in the claw grabs…. especially meerkats, we score 100% on any ‘date match’ site !!!! 48 years next month! I only have two jukeboxes and the odd Corgi 1:64 model superhauler trucks (approx70) in the lounge! So bad as each other. Sorry to drift off the thread a bit !!!!
