They look so ‘mint’ the only down side I predict if they eventually power up and I might find you the possible 284013 keys to the front round locks? If they never got changed?
The Mars mechs will probably only accept 20p coins but there will be the option of the free credit button on the Mars credit pcb?

The round pound now dual metal >2017
The small 10p now steel magnetic>2012
Big 50p went smaller to follow 10ps>1997

I have lots new euro leads here too if they are missing? You are only about 20 miles away or so?

For info only the Mars mech on the leisure 2000 cab will have bottom return side panel reject coin route so can’t be directly swapped on to the pedastal cabs unless the side panel is swapped - just one small screw!
when you say euro leads, do you mean the kettle with a notch in?

just noticed i need those for the 2 and i cant find in my house anywhere

Best part of buying a cheap cab. Like a lucky dip. Lol. I once bought a cheap JAMMA cab from a pub that had a rare UPL game in it. Ninja Kid, think it was.
Ninja Kid /NK 2 by UPL is amazing. One of the games I didn't see back in the day, such a unique control system for climbing by bouncing off the walls, very difficult to pull off those moves.

No, I'd never seen it before and sold it pretty quick to pay for the cab restore, so didn't get a chance to play it much. Easy to say that I wish I'd kept it, but I needed the money at the time. ☹️ Similar experience with a Japanese version of Prehistoric Isle that was a cab find. Love that game and hope to pick it up again some time.

also, the coin door locks, are these generic or will i need a specific one, want to try and get at the CP to replace some buttons/sticks
Do you have keys to remove the back doors? If so, you should be able to reach the coin door locks from behind, and remove the tangs to open them.

Picked up a Goliath for £150 about 5 years ago. Had a Double Dragon marquee so thought I’d be happy if that was in there too.

It wasn’t. It had an Irem Blade Master in there instead.

Great deal this one. Good when these things happen

But, it seems it was just my time, so i always browse the local ads for stuff, be it gaming, fish tanks etc etc, basically stuff i am interested in, and i came across an advert a few days ago now with an old arcade machine, dusty as hell and the seller couldnt confirm if it worked, £300 the ad said, so i had a little back and forth and he agreed to deliver for £60 as well, i thought £360 isnt too bad for what looks like a solid shell of a machine, i can troubleshoot it when it gets hear, been lifted out of an old pub storage, asked the usual, water damage etc etc, was told...nope, just full of dust as the guy was just someone who empties buildings.

So come today, and i figured worst case scenario, i have a pretty beat up machine that doesnt work, but i have a solid foundation for some sort of cab, it was a risk, but i figured it was worth it, worst that could happen was i would need to put a new monitor in and my mister or something

Then i asked him to confirm what he was delivering.....and here is the kicker
View attachment 55573

3 old arcade pub machines for £360 delivered and they are in pretty much mint condition, i need to replace little bits and bobs and havent turned them on yet, but oooofff, if anyone knows anything about these machines then i would be happy ot hear it, the winfalls look like they could be rotated and i'll need to replace the stick and buttons but i have a ton of spare sawna stuff already

overall a very very good day, gone from one cabinet to 4

Sadly OH NO YOU CANNOT !
You can reach in and unclip the game board drawer and button panel pulls out front of cab…. Unplug any game edge first
The buttons and sticks plug off the loom also slide it fully out of the cab.

But you only reveal a 4” gap right at front above mech … if you can get down there from the rear to undo a lock tongue WOW!

The gap is so you can reach in from the credit door to unclip the CP save pulling machine away from wall in pub or arcade to swap boards…. Mark spent months designing the pedastal cab to try make it best all round … the reason the coin tower is pedastal is so a foot throttle can be fitted on base for final lap3 and other games using a swappable steering CP like also pictured below
Then you can’t get to the coin box lock via a small hole below the mech exit and the coin box is almost full height of that compartment blinding any chance of lock access

This box of keys all identical spare from locks on Winfall cabs at time of sale new
284013 tho no guarantee Smith didn’t swap them for unique odd locks?

If so it’s pop it open with a big screwdriver careful not to bend door rim too much , pliers will restore shape? Or buy one of these lock bump picks 7.5mm size as they come in various sizes for seven pin round lock . Can’t just find my 7.5mm one !

Must be different to my pedestal cab. Never actually owned a Winfall. I assumed you could unclip the CP and pull it out, then just reach down to the lock from the front? If not, how can you reach up through coin door to unclip the CP?

would it not be easier to drill the locks out and replace them?

There’s a 4” gap front and most drawers have a hole to put hand up through to undo or fasten c.p.

One is pictured below easy peasy !!!

Not sure about rear lock I gave Ian the likely key numbers I have the LF ones 92250 or 92300 but not sure othe more secure flat CAM lock #606 fitted to many but stocks were limited and Winfall had over 700 cabs including some of our own … problem was people were ring us for service issues all over the country

The first 35 were just a trial for our own sites but Mark put his home phone number on those ( defined mainly by their black T moulding not silver) Big mistake letting Smith at Winfall have one or two so we made the rest of his with Winfall marquees

Here several ( a stack of surplus mix) the half unopened pack of 7 Winfalls never been out of paper wrap till and another of our own with Marks (died in 2010) phone no on

Only ordered min order of 7 or 14 once pattern was in place as Eddie and Darren in the workshop only had space to fit out about 5 -6 at a time …. The Wood was all jigsaws at Gatley Snooker/Pool manchester and dowel holes drilled … cab assembly was mainly done at play a coin Congleton which is why their cab is same but wooden CP not metal but they had more staff and more space we worked hand in hand.. with Dave and Mervin. His vans and boys etc.

Everything else except rear wheels which were done before assembly at PAC …(easier to mount and bolt up on loose panel.) was done to order as needed Parker’s of Rhyl also had loads with a less hypnotic glass. Plain grey with red rings.

would it not be easier to drill the locks out and replace them?

Yes if you have new locks and good 4mm drill bits
Flat locks straight through the centre to remove screw or stub holding the tongue on
Round locks go in at nipple position for about 1” or so stop drilling and punch out the entire lock spindle see pic …

Once the rivit holding the lock parts together are severed a good hammer and punch should drive the tongue and centre out but the lower one may collide with the coin box?

Good info. I've got a round key lock on a coin bucket door that I need to open. No way to get in behind it. I've heard these type of locks can be opened using a plastic pen, but had no luck with that. Really don't want to drill, but looks like I've no choice.
