Is there a criteria for selection in the competition or will everyone get a chance and be eliminated in heats?

I’ll definitely come to this. I probably wont enter as i think my highest score is 84k. I’ll have to start practising again. Would be great if we could get a kong off UK marquee for our cabs! The US ones look great from past events.
Also have you put it on the Kong Klub facebook group as I'm sure that would generate some interest.

We are definitely looking into marquees. Good idea about FB groups. I'll have a look. Thank you. And don't worry about high scores. We want people to have fun. Get registered. You never know.
I encourage everyone to participate, 6,5months to learn the basics of the game! Its available on switch (download), mame and most likely all Arcade Clubs in the UK.
I have been to two Kong Offs in Denmark, think the lowest score in the competition was under 5K points, it does not matter one bit. Even the best players in the world was once beginners, and even the best can have a shitty game in a public setting!

We have set a ceiling on a maximum of 32 players. When we reach this number we will close registration. We will probably then have a “standby” list of 5 in case people drop out at the last minute.

I definitely think we will need a full time referee to watch overall proceedings as well as a “scorekeeper” on the day

What’s yr best score? Mine is 254k. Was a few years ago now, can’t get anywhere near it.
