Well that’s one rum reason you never get a dart in treble 20 I suppose ? 😜
Was throwing well last nitght for a change. This was my attempt at a 130 out shot and i freaking bust ! Ahhhhhh. Still won the leg though.

I played electric darts with wolffie Adam’s at ATEI
He was promoting the electric dart board …
Outta the side of his mouth he said yeh it’s not as good as the real thing but if you can’t do the math fast it’s brilliant !
Só I guess when Ai has turned us all into illiterate brain farts ( or beer ) we can still play darts 😁 ( badly but with good math) can’t wait for that.

I too won against the then World Champion coin op electric dart auto score promotion at the Northern amusements trade exhibition Blackpool some years ago…. (Probably more lucky he didn’t play to his best?) He was called Lane Helgesson a Canadian, the prize for a single 501 win during the day was an autographed dart promoting baseball cap for each player beating him … and a daily prize of £50 for fewest dart win but I was a mile off playing with the light plastic point sticklebrick arrows ( I was an ok thrower back then with my own set but wife played better than me at home )
The coin op dart auto score board was a new development back then I think in the early 90s? With plastic point and gridded board sections to accommodate each dart and I was amazed not many bounced out compared with the usual wire hits of a winmau style board
Running our own local youth club every winter we frequently got challenged by the older teenagers just enough to keep my eye in but i have never had a 180 in 3 arrows but on one occasion only I have had 2 treble 20 plus a treble 19 more lucky than skill, I think ! …..
Not played for about a decade until my son in law put up a board for his sons last Xmas and when I played I felt quite achieved to get 3 scoring darts in each turn tho I am fairly ace at double top double 6 and double 10 somehow? Stiff arms and reduced throw power , now well past my biblical ‘best before’ date!!!!
My maths still compute ok ! Just can’t remember where I put the car keys a couple of hours ago ? 🤷♂️

And I got an electronic arts t shirt .
Them days when you could go a celebrity filled computer games event.
Youth club I think was first time I ever played a computer .

I was looking at getting one of the coin op machines, thought it would be cool but put off when I found you can't use standard darts, though after 40 odd years I managed to break the shaft on one of my Satin Slim set, bit annoying
The amount of times my brother used to get a dart stuck in the end of the other dart was impressive, couldn't do that with my set as the flights slotted in the gap
need to look for some replacement bits on ebay

What do I need to buy?
My favourite darts were the ones I bought for my girlfriend ((diamond – the darts, not her 😆😭) they were lighter.
Guess all the online stuff is a bit different!?
