How many do you have? I'll buy a thousand. Send me a postcard from your holiday island 😆

But seriously. This is not funny. I've bought from this guy and nearly placed an order recently. As discussed, there are total dick human beings out there sometimes.

Hope this isn't as bad as it may seem for all involved

I managed to get a refund from my bank, hopefully everyone else gets the same.

I'd still like to know the real story here and why Andy vanished into thin air

Update: I Woke up this morning to a credit from my bank, having logged a dispute yesterday. Maybe they know something, or can at least find and trace money? Hope others can get money back if they have bought goods in good faith.
It’s a real shame. It was my go to for parts.
Does anyone have a good alternative in the uk?

I've made two purchases recently from Jammastar in France with no issues. They were cheaper by miles compared to Arcadeworld. Shame that Andy did a runner, Ive used Arcadeworld for just over ten years and he was always very helpful. Manged to get a Sinden lightgun from Jammastar along with some cheap Zippy joysticks and button microswitches for the same price as just the lightgun from Arcadeworld, including postage and customs. As a bonus the Sinden lightgun came with the plastic holster for free.

Im starting to think they maybe had debt and they used money for orders to pay previous debts and hoped that the sales they where offering would inject a load of money with which they could get themselves back on an even keel. I was down £300 for 2 Sinden light gun. I contacted the Sinden site directly and they haven't had any outstanding orders. Any they did have had been sent in early feb. My order was placed the end of feb.
I had emails from Andy saying they were still waiting for the guns to arrive.
Not quite what Sinden are saying.
Maybe the ship has been slowly sinking for a while and it’s just got worse and worse until the inevitable happens.
It’s very sad, seemed like a good company.

I now need to find a new UK option.

Any suggestions welcome.
I've just started using Jammastar in France. Even though it takes a bit longer to receive stuff they were well cheaper than Arcadeworld even with postage and customs. I got a Sinden lightgun with a free holster (probably just got lucky with the holster) for around £78. When I ordered stuff from them, Zippy joysticks, Seimitsu LS-62's and buttons and some microswitches the same order on Arcadeworld was £45 more expensive, including all customs etc.

Any news on what happened? Still listed as Active with Companies House. Someone on FB said they got scammed which basically killed AWUK off, but didn't give any info about how they know this, so it's just hearsay, really...

Well, I paid £145 for 61 sanwa buttons and I haven’t received them after over a month. AWUK email is bouncing, no reply on phone and all socials have been pulled. Sounds like a massive fucking scam to me?

I saw This, but no source or detail.
If that’s true and then decided to scam all open orders, then he deserved it.

That's not so much hearsay.
The fella who made that comment is good mates with Andy and grew up together.

Source for this: We're all from the same town.

OK, but that info wasn't in the FB post I read. So, he got scammed and then decided to try and scam the money back?

Andy wasn't out to scam anybody, he's a good guy and been in the game a looong time, and this is all completely out of character of him and the business that's he's built up.

I'm thinking whilst Andy was been scammed (which he was), orders were obviously placed (but some orders were on back order/pre orders, admittedly), but he wasn't aware of what the future was to hold.
He knew everybody would get their money back through the charge backs.

People who have ordered items won't receive them, but they'll get their money back.

Andy's lost his entire business.

are we supposed to feel sorry for him?

the guy has taken peoples money knowing full well he isnt going to provide the items they have paid for, get out of town with this bullshit narrative of him knowing people will get money back through chargebacks, your as bad as him peddling that nonsense
