How many small and medium business are propped up with debt?

I struggle to see how it can even be called a business if it's not making enough money to pay wages or only surviving on savings

They were probably just another in a long line struggling now

I think this likely talks to someone’s point about him being ripped off.

When I’ve had businesses the only debts they had were to me or another shareholder.

It’s not common for businesses of that size to have 10s of thousands in debt. And if the chickens have come home to roost then that probably explains his disappearance

Didnt someone mention that the company type was changed last year to remove culpability of the company owner from debts oweing, something about making it a limited company or something, sounded a bit dodgy when I heard that, almost like something was planned or known about a long time ago.
