Problem Naomi Netdimm bricked?

Attempted to update the firmware on my netdimm this evening so i could run a CF reader, when it timed out. Now the net is not recognised and I get error 22. When I attempt to test it in test mode, the firmware version reads 0.0 and times out. Is there any solution to this other than desoldering and replacing the flash chip on the net itself? If not, where do I get one of those chips from?

Great. Seems pretty straightforward, although to be honest I would prefer to get hold of a pre-programmed chip. Doesn’t seem like that will happen so I’ll give all this a go and report back soon. In the meantime, thanks for all your help guys.

What version fw do you want? I might have some preflashed flash chips like from upgrading a bunch of early dimms that you can't update through software.

Ideally, I’d like 4.01 or 4.02 because I want to use compact flash adapter. Otherwise anything above 3.17. I actually have three dims the other two work but also need upgrading, so if I have three spare chips just in case I mess up that would be great. The plan is next time to update from The piloader instead. The problem I think last time was under voltage because I was using an ATX PSU instead of a proper sun PSU (of which i actually have two!)

I'll have another look tomorrow but I could only find 5v flash chips, if you aren't in a hurry I could order some 3.3v ones next time I do an order.
