people always go mad when it's an auction, if it was on a BIN for £350 it would of probably been still for sale now

Don't feel so bad paying around £250 with shipping from USA for mine now, it completed the look of cab which is what mattered

Little update - not got as far with this as I'd hoped, but here's what I've been able to get/do so far with my SW repro:
  • Cabinet shell - (from Chris - I've painted it but not assembled)
  • Plastic bezel (from KLOV)
  • SW PCB (I'm not using the ZVG now)
  • WG6100 colour vector monitor
  • AR2 (eBay)
  • Control Panel (from the seller in the USA, above)
  • Alan-1 flight yoke
  • Measurements for the inner monitor bezel
  • Wiring harness (from Facebook, details above)
  • Coin door frame
So I still need:

  • Vector power brick
  • Coin doors
  • Speakers
  • Speaker Grills
  • Cab artwork & marquee
  • Marquee light
  • T-moulding
If anyone can help with any of these that would be great! And I'm sure there's other stuff i've missed.

Here are a few pics so far:

A long overdue update, but I've made quite a bit of progress! I finally got a power brick (eBay), and have a service panel and coin doors on the way (from Equites). I also got some speakers of the same spec as the originals from eBay - apparently they are used in new Minis!

So after a couple of false starts with fuses, big blues, and putting the monitor too high up, I've got it up and running. Huge thanks to Equites & Monstermug for all their help!

So I still need:

  • Speaker Grille
  • Cab artwork & marquee
  • Marquee light
  • T-moulding
  • Coin mech & bucket
  • Monitor glass
It's been nerve-wracking, but so good to be able to play it on original hardware (pretty much) for the first time in over 30 years!

Richard, that's looking brilliant mate - you've got all the hard bits done! I'll have to crack on with mine soon! Can you point me to the speakers you got?

Did you order the cardboard bezel in the end from the guy on Klov? I got mine the other day. Looks good.

Monstermug... if you've got any of that t-molding left I'd gladly grab some from you for my repro build.

Thanks guys, I'm really happy with it so far, but got plenty more to do.

@Agent4125 - The speakers were from this eBay listing: 233246096363. Sadly that was his last pair, but they are 6"x9" 4 ohm resistance.

And yes thanks very much for the KLOV link for the cardboard monitor bezel - he says he's sending it on Monday!

Little update - I got the cardboard bezel and smoked acrylic for the monitor glass, as well as some coin doors (blank for now), and a service panel.

Found a little bit of t-molding left over from my champ sprint cab but need loads more!

I'd like to use an LED tube light for the marquee - does anyone know much about these? I found this and thought it might be suitable:

Think it might not quite fit though.

I've finally had time to put all the artwork on, which is excellent quality - thanks Muddy! And it's so much easier if you spray the surface with water first.

I also found an original coin doors and mech on eBay, and Monstermug kindly provided me with t-molding. I never could find an original speaker grille, so got some mesh from Amazon that's pretty close to the original:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00QAGKBH0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The LED tube that I mentioned above works fine on 110v so no changes needed to the wiring harness. I'm having to keep it in a pretty small space at the moment as I move other stuff around, so I can't get great pictures, but here's what it's like now:

Lots of little things still need doing - many of the the insides of the holes in the speaker grille need painting, which is why the black doesn't look uniform. I'd also like to generally strengthen the cab up. I'm missing part of the marquee housing, so have had to attach it slightly differently for now. The coin doors need repainting. But it plays a great game of SW, and the artwork looks amazing. The vector graphics looks terrific, and the sound is so good. Might also get the ESB multi game kit if anyone has one going spare?

Thanks so much to everyone who's helped - Equites & Monstermug have given me loads of advice and support, and been very patient with my lack of technical knowledge!

Thanks very much! I got the bezel from this guy on KLOV:

https://forums.arcade-museum.com/threads/reproduction-cardboard-monitor-bezels-most-atari-t-f-red-tent-exidy-440-2018.422904/

He took a while to send it, but it's really nice quality. I can't compare it to the original, but it looks and fits just right.
