See.... he's asking how the f do you get the coin meter wiring out of that stupid metal shelded box too!

In all seriousness, kudos on the synthwave love. Say Hi to Tyler for me ;)
haha, I was pulling on that bloody wire for ages, pressing the tags in and nothing.. it didn't budge.

Tyler is a cool guy :) I chatted to him for a while about watches - but i'm just a hanger on really!

In my humble opinion the dreamcast was the peak of the 3D era for me, innovative, groundbreaking and great games that are still classics to this day, and a console that was ahead of its time but at the time deeply under appreciated.

The Legend Will Never Die!!!!

Also Namco peaked with perfecting the greatest 3D beat-em-up of all time, that being Soul Calibur on the Dreamcast, it surpassed the arcade version. Something unheard of at the time

Yeah i'd agree with that, I remember playing the arcade version at Mad Harry's and being a bit shocked how rough it looked in comparison. At that point everyone was used to arcade ports being scaled back to certain degree, not sure if Soul Calibur was the first game where the hardware at home had superseded the arcade boad.

I'm not gonna lie when I first played it at an arcade in Margate back in the day, I was worried as fuck due to how very rough it look, it seemed to me like it was still running on Tekken 3 architecture/boards and the 2D backgrounds really showed in a bad way:eek:. After, that arcade experience of Soul Calibur I was genuinely worried for the Dreamcast port but thankful it was a revelation and the rest is history as they say:)

I've been wanting to do a proper side-by-side with the Tekken games for a while - I could put two identical Dino King cabs next to eachother, one with Namco arcade hardware and the other with PlayStation or PlayStation 2 -> Scart -> Jamma video. I think Tekken Tag was superior on PS2 to the arcade board.

Yeah that's a good call - I played alot of Tekken Tag and the PS2 version was certainly better looking. That would be neat comparison actually, i'd like to see it - I think the Tekken 3 PS1 port is pretty bang on but uses 2d backgrounds.

It would be even better comparing them on a Dino King :)
