Same as a Galaga innit? If so it looks like 6 1/2 - 7cm (ish) according to the pic near the top....

Okay got a few bits done today.
Managed to put the roof on, drill the hole for the speaker and mount the speaker shelf.
I also cut the hole for the coin door, however after measuring it up as per the Galaga measurements Dex-Jay provided I noticed that 7cm from the top is way too small, the gap it leaves for the artwork is about 5cm which is not enough.
I found a .pdf manual for the Midway coin doors which list all the dimensions for mounting, using this and the measurements I have for the front artwork I cut the door hole 11cm from the top which is just perfect.
Looking like a Ms. Pac now

Small update:
The coin door arrived today! I have disassembled it ready to shot blast and repaint tomorrow

im using a jamma adaptor and a jamma loom, it just makes the cab more versatile. but i was lucky as my board is a Midway ROM Bootleg so plays the same as it uses the same roms but is DC voltages and was a good call as I was able to use the cab to test jamm PCBs with out issue.
for you, you might need to look into doing a DC mod to the board which is very easy and straight forward

Ah right I see. From what I've discovered the DC is apparently fine. I just wanted someone to confirm it

I thought the pac to jamma was just plug and play, that's what I was told, and after googling I found a few post who say the same?

DC mod is the safest way to play PAC-MAN in a Switching PSU environment
old stories do come where a Switching PSU cranked up to 6V DC works in AC mod but its not good in the long term to do
the good thing is that a DC mod don't correctly and neatly can easily be reversed and the removed components put back into place

Ok cheers guys, like I said I've found a few sources that say to use the adaptor and don't mod the board. I haven't got a clue about modding boards so I'll just stick with the adaptor.

Painted the coin door yesterday! Shot blasted the old paint off and filled a small hole that had been drilled above the lock. Next I gave it a coat of Rustoleum black spray paint, I then used a brush to splatter some paint to give the original splatter effect on these doors, finally finished off with a coat of satin black.

On with the front panel artwork now. Been painting last night and this morning, making some progress but hand painting takes a long time....
