Hi they are AES home carts
Very nice!!! I had KOF 94 to 2000 back in 2003, plus Metal Slug 3 JP and others but sold the bulk of them along with my CDZ and games and went mainly MVS, with only a small selection of AES

IMG_3247.jpeg
I did not know nor do I know anythimg
About match box until I came home
And began to look up my cars I had bought ..
apart from one of the cars in the bag was the saint car from the tv show .
Which I did recognise ..
I sold my Rottinoff tractor same as above on eBay to a guy in holland for £1450 which I spent on arcade games 😎

I remember years ago when "Our price" & the video version of it was around they were giving these out in some kind of promo when you bought a Guyver video.
Oh woah I didn't know that, thats cool:) My cel and drawings came directly from Streamline Pictures who salavaged them directly from Tokyo Movie Shinsha, who discarded nearly all production artwork from Akira to 'conserve space', can you believe they did that.

If we went to sega world picaddlilly circus.
We would often go to Tower records too. They would have live events with the pop /rock stars in the shop
It was wild .. nothing like it nowadays

I visited an Akira pop up event in Osaka last year, they had walls and walls of the original artwork and production cells on display, they didnt allow photos for the majority of it though :(

Many years back I stumbled across a little stall in a Mall in Tokyo whilst looking for some video games. They had so much art, some of which was from well known TV series I had watched as a kid!. It took me a while to realise this was all original production artwork and not copies. It was setup like a market stall/record shop and you could flick thru everything, the prices were £40-100 on average and I believe they had a few Akira things in a display case for about £350 upwards. It must have been ' anime world star' and it looks like they now are online. I don't actually own any cells, but they are very cool.

I have some original cells from the Virtua Fighter anime series, 3 pieces, Storyboard, Rough draft and production cell / composite.

Pretty cool.

The cells on display at the Akira Expo were on another level!! Really wish all anime was produced to that standard!

I shuffled through some akira cells at some toy shows..
And was very tempted on eBay some years back . I held off just because I was a bit sceptical of authenticity.
A retro toy store near me guy has had cells of various famous tv animations
Also original comic art. Uncoloured story board etc..
