What I do know is ..
The traces that need repairing on the underside of the motherboard are far away from the battery area,
The corrosion caused by battery leak on these is far more reaching than just the local area aroumd the batterie -
For exsample : it gets up inside the cn socket ..

As I stated before the board I have fixed was 12 traces on the top side around the cn socket top right ..

But the work is carried out on the bottom side of the bottom board .

Simply linking the traces back together.

I know you said you don’t think it is that but until you check continuity between those pins you will never know as some rotting of the traces takes place under the geeen coating and is hard to see. Only checking for continuity will you know ..
This is why I wanted you to send me the board before you attempted the z80 swap because I know how it can just go wrong. But as it’s your board and you wanted to swap the z80 I didn’t mention it.
As I knew you wanted to fix it.

I did same on my bombjack
Bollockst socketing 1 ram after
Sucsefully swapping 7.

Tiredness !!!!
It’s like drink driving when fixing pcb!

It kills your boards!

If you want
Any time you want to send it over I will take a look at it and see what I can find, maybe I can maybe I can’t ..
