Next step is i want to get the pedals and back plate done, would you recommend taking it to a professional paint sprayer, ive never done it to be honest and did you have to find a specific spray paint for it?
I think i heard you say you had a company that worked with you do the chrome pedals, im not sure where i can take them to get tidied up

I Have all my Black Bits Powder Coated as its very strong and will not chip like paint will.
I have a Chrome guy we use but its a Relatively expensive thing.
My Poster is in the middle. He was not doing the Jap one when I ordered it all.
All Great quality stuff it is.

The Satin Paint went on great thank you Nurtuo
I have a question the front wood panel has some scratches on it, what would you recommend using for cleaning this front panel up, i was going to use the satin paint but i didnt know if that would be overpowering.
i have the new racing stripe on order and didnt want to put it on without the front panel looking good.

I used self adhesive vinyl on my front kick panel (matt and grained)
All cabinet sides (below the side art) and cabinet rear had Halford Satin Black spray paint over a grey primer
Metalwork including pedal box plate was in Plasti-Kote satin black (aerosol). I did the lower marquee rail / speaker panel, upper marquee rail, steering shaft in this too.
But as others are suggesting - there are many ways to skin a cat, that yield you roughly similar results

But as others are suggesting - there are many ways to skin a cat, that yield you roughly similar results
Always Start by trying a Magic Eraser, as it has got a lot of stuff off for me.
But if that Fails then use Thin Self Adhesive Vinyl sheet in Matt Black.
It would be very hard to get a perfect finish with an Aerosol on the Cabinet itself.
Plus the Artwork Sticks really well to it as you are better to slightly wet it, as it goes on.

im also missing 7 from the metal under carriage under the steering also, same screw but slightly smaller mm
I would say originally they were Black, but when I fitted mine I just thought they looked better nice and shiny.
I pretty much replaced all of the different sizes on my cab, as many were odd or damaged after all those years.
I will have a run throught my bits and see what I have for you if you want.

Gents the magic remover didnt work they are scratches ingrained i believe, so do you recommend the vinyl route? if so would you be so kind to advise where i can purchase from and how to fit it, did you remove all metal boxes at the front and just strip it down bare and then put over the top? once done did anything go on top of it.
is there an alternative solution ie paint or spray paint?

I can only say what i did, but that is a bit over the top most would think.
I removed all of the Black Vinyl that was on the Side and Front.
To be honest the Front come out as nice as the sides.
All the Steering and Pedal Box was out anyway and the T Moulding was off.
Also I replaced the Mat, so that was not there either.
This involved removing the Gas Pedal from the base, which can be a pain if it wants to be.
If you see on my picture, that gives you chance to slightly over lap the edges to finish it nicer.
However make no mistake, i did a Full Restore and this route may not be for everyone.
As far as painting goes, that would open a can of worms trying to get it to not react with the old vinyl.
And the finish would not be the same anyway.
Aerosol's are a real pain to get a good finish with vertical stuff, due to the paint being so thin.
Its a pity you are not nearer, you could have popped over and seen mine and had a look at what I mean.

Sounds great nowhere around here with good arcade I’m afraid
Well my springs arrived ive fitted them and it is so much better having a great time playing it. I’m now getting to a point where I’m comfortable with the cab as I wanted to do everything straight away, so I might just enjoy it for a while.
Couple of things I’ve been speaking to wim and hoping his repro badge comes soon mine is cracked and it’s bugging me and if you are able to dig any screws out for me I think I will he content with it but my aim is to get it looking just like yours
