After over 11 years of collecting I have finally bitten the bullet and have decided to go with a scratch build of a Paperboy cabinet!! The cabinet means a lot to me, and was one of the games I played ALOT back in the day. It is one of my favourite games without a doubt.
When I first started collecting the cabinets were of a reasonable price, but space was always an issue. Now that I have some space, the price of the cabinet has gone to a point that I cannot justify anymore, so this seems the obvious route.
I've been sourcing parts for quite some time, and fixing up broken boards for myself, and fellow collectors, so I feel that I am now in a good position to make a good go of this.
I've enlisted the help of Chris Barrie (chrisbarriedesigns) , to cut the CNC plans and construct the shell of the cabinet. Chris has been an amazing help, and his communication has been excellent. I've spent a full week emailing Chris non-stop, and checking over the measurements of the cabinet to make sure it's as accurate as it can be. He's had huge patience with me.
Danny (Frothmeister) has been invaluable with taking parts of his cabinet apart so I can get some decent measurements
