Fantastic, as compared to the wii the switch is beyond the horizon. The comment about the wii for the nan to wave controller around, yes it was like her swatting a fly . The switch gets played loads in this house . Have a wii thats modded and is now just in the box taking space in garage . The mario games are ace and also zelda of course. Our front room has 120" widecscreen projector and this gets the whole household involved . Defo a great console and cant recommend enough.

I do like mine. I think most of what I've got has been mentioned (Virtua Racing is superb).
There's also Radiant Silvergun.
My kids were loving The Stretchers so much I had to ban them as they wouldn't get off the console.

R-type dimensions is good, but R-type Final on a PS2 and a big CRT is arguably more interesting

Yes very similar to Outrun in how it handles, loads of different cars and upgrades to choose from. Loads of content and still getting regular updates from devs.

BTW, what size mem card comes with the console, and am I likely to need to buy a bigger one? Are they just standard micro SD cards? I don't plan on buying a huge amount of games, but the ones I do get will probably download versions, mostly.

So, I've got a Switch now, but my purchase of 12 months online subscription isn't working or showing on my Nintendo account. Anyone know the best way to resolve this? I've tried running through the maze of 'support' pages on the Nintendo website.
I bought several other things in the same order, including the digital download version of a game, and that worked fine.

Oh, my. Only scratched the surface so far with the games I've bought - and getting used to the Switch workings in general - but this thing is a joy! Several cups of tea have gone cold today, due to being engrossed and losing track of time.

The one irritant is when jumping between games, the controllers often end up working 90 degrees out and you have to fumble your way towards a menu to reinit them. And the pro controller isn't supported in various random games (e.g. Virtua Racing multiplayer, 2-player Stretchers...).
I haven't noticed that problem with the controllers yet, but I did have to reset one as the motion sensor went berserk.
On the down side, I'm a bit stunned at the lack of instructions. No instructions in the box, just left to figure it out for myself. One joycon grip was really difficult to remove. Didn't know about the tiny locking catches at the base, until I saw it online. Game instructions are scant, too.

It’s really the multiplayer games where things can get confused.
Don’t ever put the joycon covers on backwards - that’s a fingernail shredding exercise to undo.
